Destroy Depression

Destroy Depression

I read a lot. And I’ve read many fantastic books. One of those fantastic books is this one: “Destroy Depression” by James Gordon.

Here’s some of what the author promises the book will accomplish:

  • “Take full control over your thoughts, feelings and emotions so you can banish any depression in your life forever
  • Free yourself from your negative thoughts and your feelings of self-blame
  • Reclaim power over your mind, your thoughts and your life
  • End your suffering from depression once and for all”

If you go to the website I’ve linked below, the first thing you’re likely to see is the message: “Your depression has been in control long enough. It’s time to fight back.”

In the book, he discusses why anti-depressants aren’t particularly effective, as well as alternative, natural methods of restoring balance in your life. He discusses CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy) techniques, which is invaluable knowledge if it’s not something you’re familiar with already. He also discusses the importance of sleep, exercise, and diet, in relation to your mood. Lastly, he discusses the effect of sunlight on our mood, how helping others improves our mood, and how to set out to get the life you’ve always wanted.

“Depression sufferer of over 20 years reveals his simple 7-step system that gives you the power to destroy your depression, end your feelings of sadness and hopelessness, and get your life back.”

One of the reviews, by a woman name Elen, says:

“This didn’t just change my life, it saved my life.”

“Depression had such a stranglehold over my mind that I was driven to attempt suicide four times. Destroy Depression helped me get beyond the depression symptoms that were holding me hostage. Today, I’m teaching online yoga classes, building a garden in my backyard and spending time at the lake with my dog, Eddie. Having my depression symptoms evaporate after a lifetime of struggle has been amazing.”

Here’s an elaboration on the author’s claims:

  • “Take full control over your thoughts, feelings and emotions so you can banish any depression in your life forever
  • Free yourself from your negative thoughts and your feelings of self-blame
  • Reclaim power over your mind, your thoughts and your life
  • End your suffering from depression once and for all”

He also talks about the link between depression and suicide, the root causes of depression, why a lot of conventional therapies often don’t work, and simple methods of tackling your depression and getting rid of it for good. And that’s one of his big themes. He doesn’t believe in simply covering up depression, and he states that anti-depressants do just that. He believes not in managing depression but in curing it.

He lists some of the symptoms of depression so people can see if that’s what they’re experiencing, such as fatigue, lack of motivation, negative thoughts and feelings, restlessness and irritability, and more. If you are experiencing these and other symptoms consistently over a long period of time, it’s possible that you’re experiencing depression, but only a professional can make that diagnosis.

And another part of this that’s amazing is that a lot of other books come with your order, for free! Here’s what you get for free:

  • A CBT Workbook
  • A Goal-setting Workshop Book
  • A Book on a Depression-free Diet

All for free! So you get four books in total.

Acid Reflux Information That Everyone Should Have

Find out how you can eliminate acid reflux from your life today. There is no need for you having to worry about dealing with this on a daily basis. Instead, use the new control you’re going to have with these helpful tips to make sure that you live a comfortable life without acid reflux.

Stay away from acidic foods. They can both cause and exacerbate acid reflux. While this is by no means a comprehensive list, try to avoid oranges, tomatoes, grapefruit and vinegar. If you can’t cut them out of your diet completely, at least try to avoid eating them in the evenings, so acid reflux doesn’t strike when it is time for bed.

If you have acid reflux disease, you may want to consider using Proton Pump Inhibitors, or PPIs. This is a medication is prescribed your doctor and is used to stop stomach acid from getting into your intestines and stomach. Obviously, if there is no acid in your stomach, it cannot come up through the esophagus either.

The way you eat food can cause acid reflux. People often eat much faster than they should, and in higher quantities than is necessary. Eating too much or too fast can make your acid reflux symptoms worse. Instead, you should eat only until you are satisfied, not full. Additionally, do not eat as quickly at meal time. Carefully chew your food and lay your fork down between a few bites.

If you suffer from acid reflux symptoms at night time, you may need to change the way you sleep. You should be laying on your back, with the upper half of your body propped up by a few pillows. When you lay flat, whether on your back, stomach or side, you are allowing acid to come up through the esophagus.

Fatty food should be avoided. Fatty foods can cause your esophageal sphincter to relax, letting acid flow upwards. Fatty foods cause weight gain, which also adds to acid reflux problems. Learn to make good nutritional choices.

If you are experiencing acid reflux issues and you do not have an antacid on hand, you can use baking soda to alleviate the problem. One spoon of baking soda mixed with a cup of water is a simple and inexpensive antacid. You will start to feel relief within a few minutes of taking it.

High fat foods may be tasty, but that can be troublesome for anyone who suffers from acid reflux. Foods that are high in fat cause the sphincter of the lower portion of the esophagus to become relaxed and increase the time it takes for the stomach to empty. Both of these conditions make it possible for acid reflux to occur. Eat a healthy balanced diet of vegetables, fiber, grains, and lean protein.

Do you feel like you have the power to take control of your life and kick acid reflux out? You should because you have been presented with some great information that can really make all the difference. Use what you have learned to make sure that you can get the job done.…

Have Acid Reflux? Feel A Lot Better Through These Tips

If you’ve ever wondered what causes acid reflux or how you can get rid of it, then you’re definitely not alone. You need to think about the different situations that can cause acid reflux, and you need to think about the many solutions. Continue reading so that you can find out more about the remedies that can take your acid reflux away.

Slow down! When you eat more slowly, your body is able to keep up with what is being deposited in your stomach. This means that it will know that it is full when it truly is full, and you will eat less. If you overeat, you’ll find your acid reflux goes crazy.

Opt for lean meats and food that does not have a lot of fat in it. If you indulge in greasy foods, like French fries, you are more likely to suffer from acid reflux. Try tracking your food for a week and seeing what triggers your heartburn. Adjust your diet accordingly.

When you are done eating a meal, prevent acid reflux by chewing on some gum. More saliva is produced when you chew some gum. The more saliva that is produced during digestion, the less acid is produced, in turn, preventing acid reflux from occurring. Ideally, you should chew on sugar-free gum.

Limit your liquid intake with meals if you’re prone to acid reflux. Even healthy beverages like water can fill up your stomach fast, creating conditions that are conducive to acid reflux. Sip your beverage conservatively and never gulp it down. Wait a half an hour after a big meal to enjoy quenching your thirst.

To sleep better, try placing a wedge underneath the mattress to keep your head elevated and to help acid stay where it should. Essentially any object can be used to prop up the mattress. Some electronic beds will allow you to incline them easily.

Fat around your stomach doesn’t just put you at increased risk of type II diabetes, heart disease and stroke, it also causes you to be more likely to develop acid reflux or will worsen symptoms if you are already a sufferer. Lose weight by exercising moderately and eating low-fat, low-acid foods.

Limit the amount of fluids you intake while eating. Fluids add volume to the food you are eating, which will result in overfilling your stomach and allowing stomach acids to rise into your esophagus resulting in acid reflux. By limiting the amount of fluids you ingest, you can help prevent acid reflux.

While eating your meals, limit your beverage consumption. Although this may sound silly, drinking lots of beverages during your meals can actually cause acid reflux. This is because liquids increase the volume of food in your stomach. When your stomach is full, the lower esophageal sphincter has more pressure placed upon it. This muscle prevents food from coming up through your esophagus, which prevents acid reflux. You need to protect your lower esophageal sphincter as much as possible.

Hopefully this article has given you some information that helps you see that acid reflux doesn’t have to be a permanent fixture in your life. You don’t want to end up realizing that it has caused worse problems down the road. Use what you have read to develop a good plan for ridding yourself of acid reflux in the future.…

To keep eyes protected, wear sunglasses. You should purchase high quality sunglasses that offer effective protection from ultra violet rays. Have them with you every time you venture out. The sun can cause damage to your eyes. Don’t take unnecessary chances with your eyes.

While you probably understand how important it is to wear sunglasses during summer, you should know it is also important during the winter. Snow is white, and reflects a ton of light. Regardless of the temperature, the rays will still be there.

You need to pay attention to the type of sunglasses you are using, since many of them are not the same. Make sure the sunglasses you use are able to block close to 100% of the UVB and UVA rays. Even if you only want to find glasses that look good, buying cheap ones can have a bad effect on your sight.

Some foods can prevent eye problems. Studies show that eating foods rich in Vitamins E and C, omega-3 fats and zinc often prevents macular degeneration and cataracts, along with other eye maladies. Salmon, tuna, nuts, beans, green leafy vegetables, and oranges are just a few of the foods that have these helpful nutrients.

Do you still smoke? It is time to quit. You may already know that smoking causes lung damage, but you may not have known that it can cause damage to your eyes, too. Long-term smokers tend to develop eye problems. Quitting cuts down your risk for cataracts and other eye conditions.

Don’t just assume your acid reflux is a fact of life or consequence of your active lifestyle. If you find yourself suffering through frequent bouts of discomfort related to acid reflux, see your doctor. It may be something you ate or an indication that you need to slow down in life, but it could also be something else you need to take care of.

Food can make your acid reflux problems worse. People often eat much faster than they should, and in higher quantities than is necessary. This is not the right way to eat, and it is likely to cause acid reflux problems. Eating smaller portions can really help with this. You need to eat slowly at the dinner table. Chew each bite fully and put your fork down frequently.

Does your voice crack now and then? If you have a hoarse voice, it could be caused by stomach acid rising into your throat. No, you are not getting a cold. It is acid reflux. Medications, altering your diet and staying upright after you eat could help you get your voice back. If the problem persists, see your doctor.

Do not wear tight clothing. Waistbands, belts and pantyhose that cut you in half are sure to cause stomach problems. These garments put pressure on the stomach. This pressure can make your acid reflux worse. Try wearing clothes that are comfortable and allow your stomach to breathe.

The food you consume each day will make a difference in your reflux. Avoiding acidic foods, peppers, greasy foods and alcoholic beverages could help. These foods and drinks could be causing the problem. Also, avoid eating less than three hours before you bed time. Going to bed with a full stomach could make for a rough night and morning.

Apply These Tips To Your Weight Loss Plans

People are always trying to set up and pursue weight loss goals. There are quite a few different things you can do to lose weight, from pills to fad diets, and that can overwhelm you. In this article, we will share some simple and easy tips that will help you lose weight and improve your health.

In order to still eat your favorite foods and lose weight, look for and eat the lower calorie or lower fat versions. Many people abandon their dieting efforts because they are hungry and crave certain foods. Pick up low calorie variations of the foods you crave, so you can enjoy the great tastes while still sticking to your diet!

Make note of which foods you find tasty. Very often people eat in an unmindful way that does not take enjoyment into account. Be sure you’re savoring each bite you take. If you visit a restaurant and find out the food isn’t to your liking, send it to the kitchen to be fixed or order another item. If you’re unhappy with the food, there’s no rule that you must eat it. Your health should be at the forefront of your mind, not the money. You can shed unwanted pounds if you consider mindfully what you do and do not eat. It’s a choice that is very personal.

If your main fitness goal is to lose weight, exercises that get your blood pumping are more effective than lifting weights. Cardio is better for slimming you and burning fat, while weight training is better for creating muscle tone. When it comes to losing weight, aim for elevated heart and respiratory rates instead of increased muscle mass.

Keep close track of how many calories you eat. This can be done in a lined journal or notepad. You can then use the notebook exclusively for your dietary habits. In this journal, record what foods you consume, the number of servings, and the number of calories the foods contain. In the end, this will help to give you a good idea of the foods that you must eliminate to maximize your progress.

Don’t skip meals when you are attempting weight loss. While you might believe that skipping meals helps you lose weight, your body actually begins to store fat more quickly when you do, because your body anticipates more missed meals. Eating three small meals a day, even if you aren’t hungry, will help your diet.

Keep your stress level in check to keep extra pounds at bay. If you feel anxious or upset, you are more likely to hang onto fat and calories. Severe stress leads to an increase in hormones that make weight loss difficult. Work at reducing your stress to remain calm and assist your weight loss.

Watch what you’re drinking when losing weight. All liquids other than water have calories in them. The calories you get from pop, wine, beer and other beverages can build to a significant total by day’s end. Ensure you count your calories from drinks as well.

Clearly, there are lots of healthy ways to drop extra pounds. Try these if you want to lose a few pounds and see which are best for you. Stay focused and dedicated, and soon you will achieve your goals.…
